MISSCREATIVE
BRAND | WEB | COLLATERAL
MissCreative was the brand I designed under for a decade, a name that became synonymous with my work and my creative journey. A couple of years ago, I decided it was time for a brand refresh - a chance to infuse new life into MissCreative while staying true to its roots. The result was a brand that embraced a more illustrated approach, introducing fresh elements and patterns inspired by a boho lifestyle, all wrapped in a moody plum colour palette. This new direction evokes calmness and welcome, with a subtle connection to nature and diamonds, elements that reflect the brand's essence.

The refreshed brand embodies the spirit of introverts who find solace in rainy days and peaceful, quiet moments at home. It’s moody yet inviting, with an air of calm and a touch of cheekiness. However, designing for myself proved to be an unexpectedly challenging process. As my own worst critic, I found myself caught in the throes of imposter syndrome, second-guessing every choice and going through countless revisions. The pressure to create something perfect was immense, and it was difficult to silence that inner voice of doubt.
Despite the challenges, I’m proud of the final result. The new MissCreative branding not only helped build my client base but also brought a fresh following to my page, opening new opportunities and connections. The illustrations, patterns, and moody colour palette resonated with my audience, allowing me to showcase a side of myself that was both fun and deeply introspective.

However, as much as I love the branding, I came to realise that it didn’t resonate with me as deeply as I had hoped. In the process of refreshing MissCreative, I allowed shiny object syndrome to distract me from focusing on my true, authentic self. The brand, while beautiful and successful, became a reflection of a version of myself that wasn’t fully aligned with who I am at my core.
In the end, MissCreative stands as a testament to the evolution of my creative journey -an important chapter that taught me valuable lessons about self-expression, authenticity, and the importance of staying true to oneself, even when the allure of something new and shiny is tempting.
